CVC or Combination of Cargo Vehicles is the legal term applied to compositions known on the market as rodotrem, bitrem, treminhão, tritrem and others.
Which CVCs require AET - Special Transit Authorization?
All those where the total gross weight is greater than 57t and/or the total length is greater than 19.80m, in accordance with CONTRAN Resolution 211/06.
Which bodies should I apply for AET?
Together with the DNIT for traffic on federal highways and the DERs for transit on state highways. At the moment, the DERs in the states of Mato Grosso, Maranhão, Acre and Amazonas are not issuing AET, citing a lack of structure.

- Copy of the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificates (CRLV), of the composition, tractor truck, dolly and semi-trailers;

- Total length of the CVC
- CVC technical project, duly signed by a mechanical engineer;
- ART - Technical Responsibility Note;
- Social Contract and Power of Attorney for registering the company and its representative with the body.

What is Rodotrem?
Rodotrem is the name given to a combination of cargo vehicles (CVC) composed of a 6x4 tractor truck + a semi-trailer + a dolly + a semi-trailer, with up to 9 axles, which allows the transport of a combined total gross weight (PBTC ) of up to 74 tons.
What is Bitrem?
Bitrem is a combination of cargo vehicles made up of a total of seven axles to 9 axles, formed by a 6x4 tractor truck + two semi-trailers which allows the transport of a combined total gross weight (PBTC) of 57 to 74 tons.
